Dianne Daniels, MA, is an exercise physiologist, with degrees from Columbia and Cornell Universities.
She has worked in the fitness and wellness fields for over 20 years.
In addition to holding two certifications in Pilates from the Physicalmind Institute, she is certified as a yoga teacher, Feldenkrais practitioner, medical exercise specialist, group fitness instructor, and personal trainer.
For many years in Manhattan she was a "trainer to the trainers," teaching academic and practical courses for aspiring fitness professionals.
During her career, she has been Wellness Director of the Boothbay Region YMCA, Fitness Director of the West 63rd Street YMCA in Manhattan, and Health Educator for the New York City Department for the Aging.
She developed exam preparation curriculum for the American Council on Exercise's certification exams, and presented workshops at the IDEA International Personal Trainer Summit.
The author of two published books, Pilates Perfect and Exercises for Osteoporosis, she has also be quoted in magazines such as Self and Prevention.
